Personal taste.
Close attention.
Classic tailoring taught me to look closely at clothes. That curiosity extends well beyond suits: to a casual jacket, a pair of jeans, the balance of an outfit and the person wearing it.
Observation interests me more than a set of rules.
Clothing, made personal
Tailoring drew my attention to proportion: where a jacket ends, how trousers fall, and why a good fit is more than tight or loose. Those relationships matter just as much in casual clothes.
Colour, texture and levels of formality change how garments read together. Small styling choices can change the character of an outfit completely: how a collar sits, the way sleeves are worn, or what happens when you change the shoe. I’m interested in helping those choices express the person, without making dressing feel like putting on a costume.
Scent, in the same conversation
I also help host perfume workshops, guiding people as they discover the scents they’re drawn to and what those choices express.
Underlying it all is an appreciation for things made well: thoughtful construction, good materials and quiet details that reveal themselves over time.
